I am so sorry to learn of Maritza's death. She was always such a sweet and beautiful girl and then woman. I have sweet memories of Maritza and Maribel spending time at at our house or my girls being at your house--also teasing back and forth between Carlos and Andrew. There were lots of fun times between our two families. Maritza will be missed so much. I won't be able to attend the services as I am out of town. I will be with you in thought and prayer.

Location:Manhattan, KSI am so sorry... Maritza and I worked together at Dillards many years ago and was a good friend. I am so sad that she is no longer with us. She was a wonderful person and could always make me smile, even through my tears! We had lost touch the last few years but she was always in my thoughts. My sympathies for your family.

Location:Junction CityWe were saddened to hear of Maritza's death. We became friends with Maritza about 16 years ago when she and Chris were together...dinner, time at the lake, I even was her "hand/nail" model for State Boards as she was working towards her cosmetology license. She was also one of the first people to visit our son when he was born 14 years ago. A highlight of the to the dermatologist was seeing Maritza:) She was such a sweet woman.

Location:Kansas CityI worked with Maritza at the EyeDoctors many years ago. And then when I managed the Wareham, I rented an apartment to her. I am so saddened by this news, what a wonderful spirit she was! I can't believe this news. I know she is an angel now, watching from above. I will miss her beautiful smile.

Millie, Carlos and Maribel, I was extremely saddened to hear that Maritza had passed away. I have lots of good memories of our teenage years that were spent with Maritza and you all as well. I particularly enjoyed working with Kori and Maritza at the Manhattan hospital as young little candy stripers. We 3 had so much fun doing that together. I regret that I cannot be there Saturday in Manhattan to support you, but know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Location:Hood River, OregonMaritza and I became quick friends when we both worked at the laboratory at Mercy Hospital. I worked there on-call while I was going to Veterinary School at KSU. We spent a lot of time with both Chris and Maritza and were often invited to their family Christmas/Thanksgiving dinners. Even after we left Kansas, Chris and Maritza would come visit us in Oregon. I have memories of Chris and my husband Scott getting into a car accident while Maritza helped me with an emergency at the clinic I was at. The boys were in a parked truck when the road gave out from under them sending them into a ditch. We had fun going crabbing and driving to Florence where we dressed in old cowboy outfits and took pictures of us looking like we were in the wild west in a saloon. They came out again just prior to the birth of our little girl in Hood River. I tried to stay in touch as our lives took different directions. I was constantly looking for ways to reconnect with her. I wish I could have talked to her one last time. I will miss her very much; she was like another sister to me.

Location:Junction City, KSI was saddened to hear of Maritza's passing. My heart goes out to all of you. I was a client of hers in Junction City. She was always so pleasant and sweet, simply put she was beautiful from the inside out. Although, I haven't seen her since she left her cute little house on Sunset with her boldy painted walls, I will never forget her. May beautiful memories comfort you. Most sincerely, Margie
