Obituary for Lex Hamiliton Pearson

Lex Hamilton Pearson, age 55, passed away in his home while surrounded by family in Manhattan Kansas on 10 September 2018.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and son who was active in the community and widely admired. Born and raised in Manhattan, a community he both loved and served with his heart and his hands. Lex embodied a happy warrior and it shone in everything he did from painting houses and working at KSU, to being a volunteer reserve officer in the Pottawatomie Sheriff’s office. Never being one to be afraid of striking up a friendly conversation, Lex had a network of friends that never ceased to amaze and he will be greatly missed from all corners of the world.

He is survived by his wife Pattie Pearson, sons John and Taylor, his mother Janet, in-laws Howard and Patricia Roth, and sister-in-law Teri Jaques and husband Fred and daughter Pique. Lex is preceded in life by his father Larry.

The funeral mass will be held at St. Isidore’s Catholic Church in Manhattan at 10:00 a.m. on the 6th of October. There will be a luncheon after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the following charities. Good Shepherd Home Care and Hospice, 3801 Vanesta Drive, Manhattan, Kansas 66503; the Special Operation Warrior Foundation PO Box 89367, Tampa, Florida, 33689, or give online at or CaringBridge,

Arrangements have been entrusted to Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home
