Donna Marie Speth, a beacon of love and simplicity, was born on December 7, 1961, in Great Falls, Montana. She passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024, surrounded by her cherished loved ones in Manhattan, Kansas.
A devoted wife to her husband, Nelson, Donna embraced her role as a loving mother and grandmother with open arms. Her warmth and generous spirit were the cornerstones of her family life, and she took immense pride in her family’s successes. Donna dedicated herself to not only being a nurturing presence but also in achieving her own ambitions, successfully obtaining her CNA and home health aide certifications. Through her career, she extended her loving hand to those in need, further exemplifying her kind-hearted nature.
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Donna remember her for her easygoing personality and a genuine love for the simple things in life. She filled her days with activities that brought her joy, including dancing, singing, crocheting, and creating tied blankets that brought comfort to family and friends. Her laughter and smile could light up a room, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and creativity.
While many will miss her dearly, Donna is survived by her husband, Nelson, her children: David (Brandy) of Ellsworth, Bobbie of Manhattan, Brent of Manhattan, and Alex (Kaylyn) of Alma, who carry her spirit forward in their lives. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Mason, Grayson, Claire Kathryn, Rebecca, Ginney, Carsten, Harper, Kyren, Nicholas and Michael. She also leaves behind her beautiful great-grandchildren; Islyand, Bakari, and Aria. She is also survived by her mother Berniece Pickrell of Salina, Kansas, and sister Cheryl Swanson (Scott) of Elmira, NY. Their hearts, enriched by her love, will forever hold the memories and lessons she imparted.
In addition to her vibrant family, Donna was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Pickrell, sister Kathryn Rios, brother Kenneth Pickrell Jr., and several aunts and uncles, who welcomed her with open arms as she joined them beyond.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on November 10, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Agape Family Church, located at 410 S 3rd St, Manhattan, Kansas. Friends and family are invited to share their memories of a remarkable woman whose spirit has touched so many lives.
Donna Marie Speth will always be remembered for her loving nature, her generosity, and her unwavering commitment to her family. She has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her, and her memory will continue to inspire those she loved.
