Elvira Lou Henton

Elvira Lou Henton, 73, of Manhattan, died on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at the Good Shepherd Hospice House. Elvira was born in Manhattan, on June 19, 1946, the daughter of the late Irene (Nelson) and Lewis Henton. She graduated from Riley County High School, attended the College of the Ozarks in Branson, Missouri and Kansas State University. She was an active attendee of the Riley County Senior Center. Elvira is also survived by her sister, Dena Haller, of Manhattan; a brother, Harlin, of Leonardville; nephew, Tom and Julie Henton and niece, Kara Zwygart of Meridan, Kansas. A graveside service will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 2, 2019, at the Grandview Cemetery in rural Riley, Kansas. At Elvira's request, the casket will remain closed and with no visitation.
