James “Jim” Frank Patulski, 74, of Manhattan, KS, passed away on Tuesday, May 29th, at his residence. Jim was born in South Haven, MI, on September 6, 1943, son of Marie (Binder) and Frank Patulski. He graduated from South Haven High School and Ferris Business College. On July 21, 1980, he married Edith "Edye" Hester in South Haven, MI. Jim served in the U.S. Marines as a Private during the Vietnam Era. He was an Executive Chef who, upon retirement, enjoyed traveling with Edye in their motor home, entertaining family, and friends with his delectable meals and sharp wit. He was a huge fan of University of Notre Dame football. He attended Seven Dolors Catholic Church, was a Life Member of the Moose Lodge, Marine Corps League, Veterans of Foreign Wars, AMVETS and proud Member of the American Legion Pearce-Keller Post #17 in Manhattan. Jim is survived by his wife, Edye; his two sons Jeffry W. Patulski, and Brett M. Patulski, both of South Haven, MI; his sister, Jeanne (Courtney) Davids, of Niles, MI; stepson Tom (Michelle) Musser and step-grandson, Matthew, of Manhattan, KS; four granddaughters, one grandson and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alan Patulski; and stepdaughter, Jayne Vera Rocks. There will be no services at this time.
