Marjory Osbourn, 89, of Manhattan KS, passed away on February 5, 2018. She was born on August 16, 1928 She was the first born of four girls; Marjory, Melvina, Mavis, and Marvel, to Helen (Marlow) and Isidor Klozenbucher. She was born on a farm near Kimeo, Kansas in Washington County. She attended rural grade schools, graduated from Greenleaf High School, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education at KS College. She married Kenneth Osbourn June 2, 1949, together they had one daughter. She was always at her husband's side throughout all of his career and the many offices he held in the Knight's of Columbus, in both the local Council #1832 and the State Council, up to State Treasurer. She began her teaching career in rural schools, then to Grade Schol in Barnes, Kansas, and to Seven Dolors Catholic School in Manhattan. She worked as a teller at Citizens State Bank and Office Manager at Alternative Health Care. Upon retiring her first love was quilting. She took her sewing machine on all her travels, wintering and camping during the winters in AZ, or always at home. Most all of her quilts were donated to charitable organizations or given to family members. She was always faithful to her church. She is survived by her Husband Kenneth Osbourn, her daughter, Carmel Robinson of Sun Tan Valley, AZ; one Grandson, two great-grandchildren, and one brother in law Don Fencil of Greenleaf. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Melvina (Thomas) Crimmins, Mavis(Melvin) Warner and Marvel Fencil. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2018, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home. Services will be on Monday, February 12, 2018, at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 2900 Kimball Ave, Manhattan, KS. Burial will be at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the Manhattan Catholic School.
