Mary Louise Caudle-Kidd, 85, of Manhattan, passed away Friday, November 26th, at her home in Manhattan. She was retired from the Christian Theological Seminary, Indianapolis as a registar. Mary was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 20, 1936, the daughter of the late Ruth Lee (Weaver) Caudle and Herman Paul Caudle, Sr. She was the widow of Wallace Ray Kidd. Manhattan. Mary attended college at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Manhattan, the Fairview Presbyterian Church, in Indianapolis, Indiana and the United Presbyterian Church Synod in Indiana; Sigma Alpha Iota; Bethel AME Keyboard Stardusters Study Group, AARP; Riley Co. Sr. Center as a member and served as a board member. Mary is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Jean Miller, of Indianapolis; two sons James Michael Hurt, of Manhattan; Malcolm Coy Cunningham, of Manhattan; a stepdaughter, Rosalyn Chism, of Garland, Texas; three stepsons Quentin Kidd, of Montrose, Colorado; Meredith Kidd, of Overland Park; Kevin Kidd, of White City, Kansas. a sister, Pauline Todd, widow of Clarence Todd, of Avon, Indiana; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Mary is preceded by her husband, parents, a brother: Herman P. Caudle, Jr; a sister: Dora Dean Caudle and a son, Roderic Alan Hurt. There will be a private family graveside at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Manhattan, KS. The family request donations to First Methodist Church 612 Poyntz Ave. Manhattan, Kansas 66502, Christian Theological Seminary Scholarship Fund or the Bethel AME.
