Life long Manhattan resident, Myrle Zimmerman, 54, passed away Monday, December 28th, at his home in Manhattan. He worked as a foreman at the Bluevillve Nursey. Myrle was born in Manhattan, on November 6, 1961, the son of the late Madrene (Coonrod) and John H. Zimmerman. He graduated from Manhattan High School,was a former member journeyman with the Plumbers And Pipefitters Union in Manhattan, he attended Journeyman's Plumber School, also worked at Faith Furniture as a deliveryman, a laborer for Schilling Construction, Built So-Well Metal Fabricators, and Rent-A-Center USA. Myrle was known for his creativeness of mechanical devices, he built a go-cart from the ground up and was able to have the fun of driving it, his love of building and flying model airplanes, he known for being a avid gardner, but more especially his love for stray animals and nursing them back to health. Myrle is survived by his wife Virginia Russell of the home; three daughters, Angela (Larry) Hinkel, of Milton, GA; Brenda (Binh) Hoang, of Manhattan; Tina Russell, of Grapevine TX; also surviving are his grandchildren and their spouse, Preston Hinkel, Tara Hinkel; Marisa (Dillon) Hamilton; Brendan Hoang, Jaden Hoang; Galen Deines, Bryanna Deines, Maura Deines; a sister, Kathleen Zimmerman, of Riley; two brothers, John W. Zimmerman, of Wichita Falls, TX; Stewart (Carole) Zimmerman, of Florida; and his sister-in-law Judy, wife of the late Kenneth Zimmerman, Arvada CO and Walt Creviston husband of the late Betty Colleen. Myrle was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Lynn Zimmerman, 1956; his father, John H. Zimmerman, 1997; his sister, Betty Colleen Creviston, 2001; and his mother, Betty Madrene Zimmerman, 2002. A funeral services will be held at Irvin-Parkview Funeral Home & Cremation, at 10:00am on Monday, January 4th, 2016 with burial following at Sunrise Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, with family present from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
